When towing a pickup truck?

We're moving from Arkansas to Arizona and I was wondering, when towing our pickup truck ('97 ford ranger 2dr supercab), will it be better to tow it with a tow dolly (rear wheels still on the ground) or with an auto transport (all 4 wheels off the ground)? We will be using uhaul for this.
