Problem: I know someone who's step mom decided to tell her car isurance that he shares with her and his dad...

he could ask his dad(not his step mom)to take his name off of their policy and if or when he gets his own car and a job, he could get his own insurance in his name as the only driver. iam not sure, but i think who ever the name has the insurance has to cancel his name off the policy.his dad or his mom wouldnt get in any trouble, as long as his name is on the policy, is entitled to drive the car, but to keep peace in the family, if i were him i would ask my dad to drop my name from his insurance..
