How can people sit by and watch someone be put to death?
Regarding the execution of John Allen. This question is NOT about me or what I think about him so you can save all that. I wouldn't have peed on him if he was on fire. That's how much I care about the criminal. However, I wouldn't stand around and watch him as he burned to a crisp either, I 'd just walk away from him. I'm not interested in watching a live death happen. It's also not about the horrific crimes that he commited. The title says what it's about. People were going crazy I heard on the news, trying to get in to see the execution. Do people get their jollies off of watching executions? Does it just really turn them on when people pee and crap all over themselves in the chair, and pant, or when their eyes bug out of their heads, or when blood runs from their eyes, or they jerk and shake, and puke, etc? And how can people who claim that they are "Christians" ("man of God, woman of God")sit by and watch something like that since they read a book that says "thou shall not kill"? I'm just really curious. It's very confusing, hypocritical, and kinda morbid. And when did cheering on a death (execution) become a good thing and more like a sporting event in this century? I am fully aware that a century ago it was a sporting event during slavery but I'm talking about now.
