Aftermarket car wheels ***please read***?

im going to purchase 4 wheels to replace my original stock wheels, will my lug wrench i use for taking off my stock wheels/stock lug nuts work for aftermarket wheels/lug nuts? are they the same diameter and is the tread the same in all lug nuts, aftermarket and stock? example>>>> like machine screws and wood screws have difffrent tread design. are aftermarket lug nuts like that or is they the same tread pattern as my stock lugs?
