In my opinion I do believe that you should watch the first two Underworld movies before watching the third because it would be like trying to solve a mystery without the last clue; in most movie series the first and last movie are what make the entire collection understandable, however you can watch it without then piece the movie together at the end in that sense it is completely up to you. (:
